My 7 year old pug needs hip surgery? - half hip replacement

My Little Girl Holly (23 lbs) need hip surgery. had a knee replacement 2 years ago and the knee is super strong, but now the thigh from sliding joints and both should be replaced. My question is, will be operated on both my vet at the same time. He assured me that thats done procedure when sliding the two joints of the thigh. She has pain and is 25 mg rinadyl received half a tablet every 12 hours. My question is with my vet who performs the surgery, wrong on both? Or is there something I can do to help your business
