King Triton And Poseidon Does Anyone Know If King Triton From The Little Mermaid...(serious Question)?

Does anyone know if King Triton from The Little Mermaid...(serious question)? - king triton and poseidon

Doing a project for English ... and of course English. Reading the Odyssey and took my presentation Greek god Poseidon. He investigated and found him as a son of Poseidon, Triton was half man and half fish (that is, I think, more or less like a salamander defined). My question is: King Triton (Ariel's father, for those who have seen the film) is doing an association with it? I mean, maybe, yes, but it does not mean the father, King Triton was Poseidon? Either they have nothing to do with the movie ... serious answers would be very grateful. Thank you. (Remember, 10 + to best answer)

Yes, Poseidon is the father and grandfather of Ariel Triton. It is mentioned in some books and comics little mermaid and a little in some of the bonus features of the first film. I did not know until I learned about Greek mythology and a few books and comics Sirenita.

Yes, this is supposed to represent King Triton, Poseidon. Disney was a great connoisseur of myths and legends, and they know very well that Triton is the other name of Poseidon or Neptune (the Roman equivalent). We also knew that Poseidon is 7 girls and Ariel, the name of the youth had. This story was nothing. Hans Christian Andersen wrote the original story, and (in this story which, as a concept very different - a sad) that Disney and his people have created their own version of Little Mermaid.
I suggest you read the original story is an interesting contrast to the Disney version.

Yes, this is probably the sea he has inherited from his father, or simply to rule a kingdom. Or, perhaps, be named in honor of Poseidon, Triton.

Yes. Many Disney uses symbolism. Watch Hercules!

Yes, that's how the story goes. I'm sure that's why Disney has written in this way, the history.
